Azéane Azelaic Acid Cream is a multi-action skin care product that moisturises and improves the overall appearance of the skin. Applied morning and/or evening to the face, décolleté and hands, it acts simultaneously on skin imperfections, spots, redness and lack of radiance, with results visible after just 7 days(1,2) !

Formulated with 92% ingredients of natural origin, Azéane contains 15% azelaic acid, a dermatological active known for its antibacterial, keratolytic, anti-spot, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce imperfections, fade residual marks, lighten dark spots, reduce redness and revive the skin's radiance.

To soothe the skin, the cream also contains niacinamide (vitamin PP).

To reinforce its action, Azéane Azelaic Acid Cream contains an active booster to improve the distribution and effectiveness of the active ingredients in the epidermis.

Azéane is 18% moisturising complex (Glycerin, Xylitol and Octyldodecyl myristate) to help even out the complexion and soothe the skin.

Another advantage of Azéane is its pleasant texture, which is ideal for encouraging daily use! It's non-sticky and leaves a soft finish on the skin. Thanks to its instant mattifying effect, it can be used as a make-up base.

Azéane cream offers a perfect balance between effectiveness, tolerance and pleasure of use!

Azelaic acid: dermatologically recognised for its antibacterial, keratolytic, anti-spot, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It regulates sebum production, reduces the appearance of pores, corrects imperfections, fades post-acne marks and spots, improves skin radiance and reduces redness.

Niacinamide (vitamin PP): this active ingredient soothes the skin thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties and slows down the transfer of melanin to keratinocytes for a depigmenting effect.

FAQs

Here's how you can incorporate Azéane Cream into your skincare routine:

• Morning and/or evening :

Azéane can be used once or twice a day all over the face. Start by applying a small amount

in the evening, then introduce a morning application if necessary. Azéane Cream can be

applied alone, in combination or as a follow-up to dermatological treatments*.

*Seek the advice of a healthcare professional.

• After Cleaning :

Use Azéane after cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser. Make sure your skin is dry

before applying the Cream.

• Before Moisturiser and Sun Protection :

Apply Azéane Crème before your moisturiser. If you use it in the morning, always follow with

a sunscreen with a high SPF.

Azelaic acid is a versatile ingredient that is well tolerated by most skin types. It can be

combined with moisturisers, sun protection, vitamins C and E, and gentle acids such as

hyaluronic acid.

You can combine Azelaic Acid with retinoids and strong exfoliating acids such as glycolic or

salicylic acid with care to avoid irritation.

In general, when introducing new active ingredients into your skincare routine, it is important

to do so gradually and to observe how your skin reacts. It is also advisable to consult a

dermatologist or healthcare professional before combining active treatments to ensure

compatibility and safety for your specific skin type.

Azelaic acid is a recognised dermatological active ingredient with numerous properties.

Antibacterial, keratolytic, depigmenting, soothing and anti-inflammatory, it improves the

overall appearance of all skin types.

Azelaic Acid is one of the topical treatments that can be considered safe during pregnancy

and breastfeeding. There is no conclusive evidence to suggest that Azelaic Acid causes

adverse effects on the foetus when used topically and in the recommended concentrations

(generally between 10% and 20%). There is also no evidence to suggest that Azelaic Acid

passes in significant quantities into breast milk or causes adverse effects in infants. However,

it is always advisable, in situations of pregnancy or breast-feeding, to consult your doctor or

dermatologist before starting its use to ensure that it is appropriate for your individual

situation and needs.

The concentration of azelaic acid depends on the needs of the skin:

  • - The 10% concentration, which is more common, is suitable for mild cases of hyperpigmentation and acne, with little risk of irritation.
  • - The 15% concentration is often recommended for more pronounced skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, acne, and rosacea. It provides more visible and faster results. This concentration offers a good balance between efficacy and tolerance.
  • - The 20% concentration is stronger for severe issues, but it can increase the risk of irritation, so it’s essential to use it under the supervision of a dermatologist.

Yes, Azelaic Acid is safe for sensitive skin. It has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces skin

inflammation and soothes redness and irritation. What's more, its exfoliating action is

effective yet gentle and it is generally well tolerated by most people, including those with

sensitive skin.

Azéane Cream has been the subject of two clinical studies (1,2) demonstrating the effectiveness of Azéane Cream with 15% Azelaic Acid on skin quality:

  • - From the first use, Azéane Cream improves skin texture. The complexion becomes brighter and more mattified, and the skin is less reactive (1,2).

  • - After 7 days of twice-daily application, Azéane Cream works to make the skin less reactive and the complexion brighter (1).

  • In less than 2 weeks, Azéane Cream reduces blemishes and skin spots. However, the results depend on several factors, including your skin type, the nature of the skin concerns you are treating, and the regularity of use. For optimal results, it is important to use Azéane Cream regularly and over an extended period (2).

(1) Usage test conducted on 33 volunteers with dull skin and facial pigmentation spots. Twice-daily application for 56 days. % of satisfaction.

(2) Usage test conducted on 21 volunteers with combination to oily skin with blemishes and facial redness. Twice-daily application for 28 days. % of satisfaction.

Unlike other active ingredients such as retinoids, Azéane 15% Azelaic Acid Cream is unlikely

to cause skin purging. Although some people may experience a slight rash at the start of use,

this is often a temporary reaction. Introduce the cream gradually to minimise any irritation.
