Azelaic Acid is a versatile ingredient, well tolerated by most skin types. It can be used alongside moisturisers, sunscreen, vitamins C and E, and gentle acids such as hyaluronic acid.

Azelaic Acid is a well-established dermatological active ingredient with multiple benefits. It is antibacterial, keratolytic, depigmenting, soothing and anti-inflammatory, improving the overall appearance of all skin types.

Two clinical studies (1,2) have demonstrated the efficacy of Azéane Cream 15% Azelaic Acid on skin quality.

Topical Azelaic Acid is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There is no conclusive evidence suggesting it causes adverse effects on the fetus when used topically at recommended concentrations (usually 10–20%). There is also no evidence that significant amounts pass into breast milk or harm the infant. However, it is always recommended to consult your doctor or dermatologist before use during pregnancy or lactation to ensure it is suitable for your individual situation.
