Which active ingredients are effective against dandruff?
Several dermo-cosmetic active ingredients can be useful for dandruff. Keratolytic active ingredients (salicylic acid, Cade essential oil, etc.) and keratoreducing active ingredients (Cade essential oil) promote the elimination of scales. Antifungal active ingredients (piroctone olamine, undecylenic acid, niacinamide, inulin) limit the proliferation of Malassezia yeast, which is involved in the appearance of dandruff. Sebo-regulating active ingredients (zinc and nettle) help reduce excess sebum in cases of oily dandruff.
